He emphasised that measures were put in place to ensure security and order will be guaranteed.

“We engaged Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) to maintain order on this festival and Zimparks officer will collaborate with law enforcement officers to put in place order, safety and calmness,” said Chitiyo.

Chinhoyi Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) Principle Correctional Officer (PCO)Cynthia Bangure whose group would perform at the event, ensured that her crew was geared up to perform at the event while Chinhoyi Sungura maestro Madzibaba Jonathan Siyasithumuzile, said that he will take this precious platform of Nyathi braai festival to introduce his latest offerings.

“We are calling our people to come in numbers and enjoy this beautiful event meant to promote exposure and togetherness as one people and ensure you that all laundry will enjoy our hit music as ZPCS band,” said Bangure.

A local traditionalist, Sekuru Mukanya Svosve, said the event coincided with the values of the African philosophy of Ubuntu, where people meet and eat game meat together and share experiences and encourage those who will participate on this occasion to be respectful to one another.

Chinhoyi Caves are approximately 10 kilometres from Chinhoyi town, located near the A1 road between Harare and Chirundu Border Post.
