Actor Obed Baloyi has joined the cast of Muvhango.
Obed, who made a name for himself in the SABC2 sitcom Ga Re Dumele and Mzansi Magic’s Diep City, will be portraying the character of Mzamani Rivombo in Muvhango. Viewers will get to see him in the series from March 17.
According to Muvhango’s storyline, Mzamani Rivombo is from the patriarchal line of the family. He is the owner and operator of the local spaza shop, playing a vital role in the community, providing not just essential goods but also a sense of stability and support to those around him.
“It is an honour, a great pleasure and a dream come true for me to join this beautiful and historic soapie. After several auditions since its inception, I have finally made it. Indeed, what is meant for you will always be yours. I am truly grateful to the producers, the channel, the Muvhango family and, most importantly, to God.
