Obscure player contribute to UN

Burundi was?

While it would be easy to reel off any number of homegrown scorers from the 2012-13 season, many would struggle to name some of the more obscure countries represented in the top flight.

Sierra Leone and Ecuador both prop-up the scoring chart by country with a solitary goal while the two scorers from Congo notched last season.

Chile and Honduras are also represented in the richest league in the world – which 80 broadcasters transmitting matches to 212 territories around the world.

At the other end of the table, it comes as no surprise to find Spain is the second best represented country in terms of goals in the Premier League.

Michu, Santi Cazorla, Juan Mata and, erm, Fernando Torres were all regulars in front of goal last season.
Belgium has seen an explosion in the number of players turning out in England in recent years and they sit third in the table.

They have shot up the table thanks to strikes from the likes of Everton’s Marouane Fellaini, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke. — Mailonline
