Ocean Waves takes new album to Mutare

Rising sungura outfit, Ocean Waves Band will launch their new album ‘Tisvikewo Vasharuka’ at the watering hole situated at the city centre this weekend.

 

The band, led by Brian Svasvinu, fondly known as Manicaland Prince, is on a whirlwind tour to popularise the six-track album.

 

They will perform tonight (Friday) and tomorrow/ Some of the songs on the album and potential hits include ‘Ndakazviparira’, ‘Nyama’, ‘Upenyu Makata’ and ‘Maintenance’.

Chitsa Bar

Local deejays Spillz, Wizzy, Yellow G will take turns to entertain revellers at the watering hole situated in Dangamvura this weekend.

 

Spillz will churn out old skool music, while Yellow G and Wizzy will entertain patrons with new beats.

 

Ragga Manyika outfit, Assegai Crew, will headline the Sunday night jam session.

Mi Casa

The joint hosts MaRasta Wednesday where ragga and reggae music enthusiasts meet as a live band, Mutare’s Finest.

 

They will be performing their own reggae compositions as well as renditions every Wednesday.

 

Resident deejay Frazer takes patrons from Groovy Thursday to Exquisite Saturday where old skool wheel spinner, Terminator will join in.

 

Steve Chikotie headlines jazz nights every Sunday.

Far End Bar and Grill

The new look entertainment joint situated in the city centre and popular for old skool beats will see DJs Marlo and Kartel entertaining revellers who include pool lovers as the home team, Far End Club, hold their after-party this weekend.

Acid Bar

Youthful DJ Yala, who is popular among music lovers in Chikanga, will entertain fun lovers in the ghetto with an assortment of music this weekend.

 

He is expected to provide musical therapy to home team, Acid Pool Club and their fans.

Christmas Pass Hotel

The hotel has upped its game with plenty of casino games (FTT Gaming), classic music and traditional meals.

Popular games among gaming enthusiasts include American roulette and blackjack.
