Fashion 263
Hello November!
So they always say that, “fashion is what you are offered four times a year, but style is what you pick out of that fashion. November is known as a month for the beard gang.
We shall dwell much on that next week.
We checked on the hottest shoe trends to look out for this summer
By now most of us have already said goodbye to our thigh-high boots and chunky lace-ups as we wholeheartedly embrace the warmer days with perfectly pedicured feet and painted toes ready for display.
Hello to days at the beach, (yes, we have beach in Binga), long lazy lunches and the silly season filled with never-ending parties.
For every season we have fresh new fashion trends.
Here’s a look at the hottest shoe trends spotted on the runways that you need to shop for this summer.
Lace-up heels
All ladies should have a pair of sexy strappy heels and if you don’t own a pair this season is THE season to own one.
Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung and Rochas all showed this barely heels at their Summer/Spring 2023 shows. While they are great for evenings out or a special occasion that calls for an evening gown or little cocktail dress, they add a touch of elegance to everyday summer wear as well.
Over-the-top embellishments
Love Crocs? Now’s the time to go over the top with dramatic XXL jibitz. Thanks to designers such as Balmain, Moschino and Fendi who showed shoes with drama! The bigger, fluffier and quirkier you can go, the better.
Ski-high platforms
The return of the going-out shoe is in full-force with this season’s platform trend as seen on the runways of Brandon Maxwell, Lanvin, Saint Laurent and Versace. There’s no such thing as going too big on this one.
Then last week from email, some people asked how best to get rid of those unwanted bags under your eyes
Have you been up all night binge-watching your favourite series?
Have you been crying all night because he broke your heart?
Are your allergies acting up?
If your answer is yes to any of the questions, then you’re probably sitting with unsightly bags under your eyes.
Puffy eyes don’t go away immediately and while concealer can work wonders on dark circles, no amount of concealer can cover up puffy eyes!
However, there are a few tricks, besides the good old cucumber slices on the eye trick, that you can try to speed up the de-puffing.
Tea bags: don’t throw away your used tea bags. Especially green tea. The antioxidants and caffeine in the tea help tighten the skin. Moisten them in a bowl of ice water. Then place them over your eyes for 20 minutes.
Ice water: a few splashes of ice-cold water on your face is a sure way to wake you up.
Splashing your face with cold water (as cold as you can tolerate) is a quick and easy way to reduce swelling.
Or you can end your shower routine with a quick burst of cold water. If you have more time, soak a cloth in ice water and place it over your eyes for 10 minutes.
Spoons: if you are prone to waking up with puffy eyes or you get home after a long night of partying and drinks, then place two spoons in the fridge before you go to bed.
The next morning place the spoons over your eyes.
Massaging: gently massage around the eye area to increase circulation in the area. Don’t rub too hard, because it is a very sensitive area. — iolnews
