OK Grand Challenge nominations out

EIGHTEEN horses have so far been shortlisted for the 2014 OK Grand Challenge horse race, according to the nominations received by Mashonaland Turf Club.
The prestigious horse race will be staged at Borrowdale on June 7.
The nominations have seen nine stables lining up their entries.
The Lisa Harris stable have thrown in Coltrane, who came third in the Castle Tankard, Lucky Sam, Menacing and Forty One.

The grade two race, with a US$40 000 purse, will also see the Gorkhan Terzi, D’Aquino and Kirk Swanson stables bringing in three horses.
Gorkhan Terzi has Approval Rating, Rock the Country and Super Trouper, who came fourth in the Castle Tankard.

D’Aquino throws in Ginepri, Royal Arrow and Star Dance.
Swanson has Captain’s Tiger, Madigan and King Kahal for the big race.

Amy Bronkhorst has two nominations, Gentle Brooke and Equina, who won the Castle Tankard.
Alyson Wright brings A King is Born, who came second in the Castle Tankard.

A King Is Born, Orbit War (Argentina) (all Alyson Wright); Approval Rating, Rock The Country, Super Trouper (all Gokhan Terzi); Captain’s Tiger, King Kahal, Madigan (all Kirk Swanson) Menacing, Coltrane, Lucky Sam, Forty One (all Lisa Harris); Equina, Gentle Brook ( both Amy Bronkhorst); Star Dance, Royal Arrow(Australia),Ginepri (Argentina) (all D’Aquino); Double Bind (Paul Matchett).
