RENOWNED Nigerian televangelist, Dr Chris Okafor, was humbled by the hospitality he received in Harare.
The philanthropist, peace advocate and preacher was in Harare last weekend where he presided over a well-attended peace conference.
Economic Empowerment Group president, Mike Chimombe, hosted Dr Okafor.
He told H-Metro the man of the cloth was charmed by the hospitality and love he received from Zimbabweans.
“The turnout was overwhelming as people of Zimbabwe wanted to see the man of God,” said Chimombe.
“He wants to come back soon and he even told His Excellency that Zimbabwe is a beautiful country and peaceful nation.
“He enjoyed his stay in the country and we also learnt something from him.
“As the hosts of the conference, we gave him warm hospitality and maximum security.”
Dr Okafor, who is the leader and founder of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, has made a name for himself after changing the lives of scores of less privileged people.
His visit came at a time when Zimbabwe has been promoting religious tourism.
It was a memorable time for those who attended and met Dr Okafor.
The interdenominational gathering attracted people from other countries – Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique.
A number of Nigerian artists and celebrities have been visiting our shores for business conferences and live shows.
Dr Okafor is the latest top Nigerian visitor to come to Zimbabwe.
Fellow countryman and gospel musician, Nathaniel Bassey, is expected in Zimbabwe tomorrow.
He is set to hold a concert on Africa Day at Celebration Centre in Borrowdale dubbed “Fearless Praise Concert”.
