Olympics: Zim rower Purcell-Gilpin through to quarter-finals

ZIMBABWEAN rower Peter Purcell-Gilpin has progressed to the quarter finals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games Men’s Single Sculls after finishing in first place in the Repechage Round’s Heat Three.

 

The 27-year-old comfortably finished in a time of 7:35.16.

 

With Purcell-Gilpin now through to the quarter-finals set for tomorrow (Sunday), it means he remains in medal contention.
