ONE Infantry Brigade will host Brigade Group of the Botswana Defence Forces in various sporting disciplines tomorrow at White City Stadium.
The tournament seeks to promote and strengthen co-operation between the two brigades, which are mainly co-ordinated border patrols.
Among the disciplines to be contested are football, basketball, volleyball, netball and a 10km road run along Falls Road.
One Infantry Brigade public relations officer Lieutenant Brian Muchero said: “White City Stadium is a perfect venue and the various participating teams are now full throttle in their preparations.”
Muchero said they had been working hard to ensure their opponents find them in the best possible shape.
“We have competed with teams from different organisations preparing for various sporting competitions in the last quarter in order to enhance our practice sessions. Lately it was with Khami Prison,” Muchero said.
He said the host brigade was sponsoring the sporting extravaganza and members of the public are invited.
