Oskido in town for Christmas gig

The show, dubbed “One night stand with Oskido”, will see the DJ take to the decks alone, before the arrival of his Kalawa Jazzme stable-mates for his show on on Thursday at Queens Sports Club.

This will be the second time that Oskido has come to his hometown for the Christmas holidays, after he also staged a series of successful shows last year around the same period.

Before the show, Oskido is scheduled to hold a meet the fans gathering at popular restaurant, Sis Bee’s place.

In an interview, one of the organisers of the show, Nkululeko Nkala said Oskido was already in the country and was raring to go for tonight’s show.

“Yes I can confirm that Oskido is already in the country and he has promised to give fans a Christmas treat tonight. Oskido has never disappointed in any of his shows in the country thus far and we hope that tonight’s showing will be no different,” he said.

Nkala said Oskido had chosen to hold the show at Jock and Saddle because it was one of the most prestigious nightspots in the city.

He said they had no doubt about the venue’s ability to hold a successful show.

“The show will be held at Jock and Saddle because it is one of the most vibrant nightspots in the city. We have no doubt that the show will be a great success,” he said.

Nkala said the people of Bulawayo should come in their numbers to celebrate the achievements of one of their most successful sons while also celebrating Christmas in style.

“People should come out in their numbers to support Oskido who is one of the most successful artistes in South Africa and whose achievements warrant celebration. This show is also a great way to celebrate Christmas for everyone,” he said.
