Ouattara speaks on African growth

The president was speaking on Sunday during the second edition of the New York Forum Africa in Libreville. Ouattara who once served as the governor of the Central Bank of West African States, said that the continent’s average growth rate could reach 9 percent or even double digit if it eliminated obstacles like youth unemployment.

He affirmed that since youths form 65 percent of the continent’s population, they should be seen as important players in the continent’s quest for economic growth. — Xinhua.
