Oupa too expensive

Cape Town — The €2 million ($3.35m) price tag slapped on Orlando Pirates midfielder Oupa “Ace” Manyisa is a “ridiculous” amount according to one of South Africa’s top agents.According to the Soccer Laduma website, Egyptian giants Al Ahly are reportedly interested in adding the Bafana Bafana star to their fold in the next transfer window after seeing him in action during this year’s CAF Champions League.

However, the asking price is sure to scare off the eight-time CAF Champions League winners — as well as any possible European suitors who may be interested in the  25-year-old.

If Al Ahly did sign Manyisa, he would be the first player from South Africa to wear the red kit of the Cairo-based team.

“Manyisa should be priced in the region of €750,000 Euro (US$1m),” according to the agent.

In January, Andile Jali left the Buccaneers for Belgian club, KV Oostende, for an estimated €1 million (US$1.67m). — Sport24
