Our players will stay: Tsholotsho FC gaffer

NEW Castle Lager Premiership boys Tsholotsho FC head coach Lizwe Sweswe, is confident that most of his players will stay at the club.
Sweswe said there would be no major changes to his squad for the upcoming PSL 2015 season.“I am not going to make many changes to my squad for the 2015 season,” he said.

Sweswe said his players had developed a game plan that most had a telepathic understanding of and losing them would be a big mistake.

“The team has over the years developed a relationship and a game plan that they understand, on that note I feel that changing my squad will disturb our game play, getting new players to adapt to our game style might take a while and hinder us from getting our expected results so we are keeping the whole team intact,” he said.

Sweswe said all of their players had confirmed that they are staying with the club for the PSL 2015 season.

“Most of the players in the team have come a long way with the club and I doubt that they will abandon the team after our long journey to get to the Premiership,” said Sweswe.

Mlamuli Phiri, the club’s chairperson, said the coach was responsible for selecting the squad.

“The coach is responsible for selecting the squad and we trust his choices, he has brought the team this far,” said Phiri.

Phiri said there were some big name players in the league who are trying very hard to disturb their preparations by enticing their players to leave the club. Some of his boys were being told that their signing on fees are very low amid revelations that there is interest for their franchise.

The plan, Tsholotsho argue, is meant to force them to get rid of their franchise.

“We have had some challenges with some people who are trying to disturb our preparations, that will not stop us from playing in the Premiership next year,” he said.

Phiri said the club had never had any problems with players and believed them to be loyal.

“We have very disciplined players who have been part of Tsholotsho FC for a long time and we have never had any problems with them. Our players are loyal and I am positive that our relationship with them will stay as it is,” he said.
