Outrage over Fiesta refunds

THERE is concern over the arrangement by Fiesta Fiesta for patrons to collect their refunds in Borrowdale following the cancellation of the show at Alex Sports Club earlier this month.
The show was set to feature South African artist Daliwonga.

The development has angered patrons who had purchased tickets for the concert.

South African Amapiano star Daliwonga was the main act.

The excuse was that the star missed his flight to Harare.

Patrons feel the arrangement is a disadvantage to them since they will have to incur some transport costs.
In a statement the organisers said:

“After further engagements with our stakeholders, we have decided to cancel the Fiesta Shutdown Concert which was scheduled for December 30 and decided to focus on our January edition.

“Artist line up and dates will be announced in due course.

“Meanwhile, those with Daliwonga tickets can collect their refunds at Fiesta offices at Hometown, 21 Edingburch Road, Pomona.”

Prior to this development the organisers had issued an apology.

“We would like to sincerely apologise and advise our patrons and stakeholders that the Daliwonga Concert has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.

“The artist missed his flight.
“All those who purchased tickets, note that these will be redeemed at the next concert to be advised.”
