OVER 100 seasoned and emerging Zimdancehall artists have come together for a groundbreaking new riddim titled ‘Harina Zita.’

This project features renowned chanters such as Lady Squanda, Guspy Warrior, and Silent Killer, among the prominent figures in the genre.

This new riddim emerges at a time when many other productions appear to be fading, injecting fresh energy and inspiration into the Zimdancehall scene.

Harina Zita Riddim is the brainchild of producer Major Terror and manager Raretest Erar, with sponsorship coming from a passionate youth supporter, Mr Chad.

In an interview, Raretest expressed how this riddim has revitalised the careers of numerous artists, including those who have previously operated largely behind the scenes.

“We have brought back the true essence of dancehall culture by uniting established artists.

“What’s particularly exciting is the positive response the riddim is generating.

“This new era focuses on correcting past mistakes made by our predecessors in the Zimdancehall industry.

“We aim to introduce a fresh perspective that resonates with many young people, especially those from the ghetto,” he said.

Raretest said the riddim has successfully united various artists spanning different generations. “The Harina Zita Riddim brings together the best of both worlds in Zimdancehall.

“We have a remarkable blend of talent, featuring established names and rising stars such as Kinnah, Ricky Fire, Jah Child, Bazooker, Boss Pumacol, Hulungende, Mbida D, Junior Spragga, Madedido, Dzadza D, Lady Squanda, Lady B, King Labash, Guspy Warrior, Legenda Killer, Jackal, Uncle Patan, Ndunge Yuti, Silent Killer, Blot, Jacha Child, Badboy Katero, Yipsy, TNG Kham Kadzi, Charts B, Dobba Don, Bhazuka, Tenacity, and many others riding the riddim.”

With such a diverse line-up, Harina Zita riddim not only signifies a revival within Zimdancehall but also offers hope and opportunity for emerging artists amid tough competition from seasoned chanters.

The riddim comes after notable top five greatest Zim Dancehall riddims (instrumentals) of all-time, from 2012 up to date, including Zimboflavour Riddim – Chillspot Records, Bodyslam Riddim — PTK, No Mercy Riddim — PTK, One Clan Riddim — Levels, Silent Killer Riddim — Sunshine, Xmas Money Riddim — Chillspot Records, Chillslam Riddim — Chillspot & PTK, Zimtalent Riddim — Samcris Pro, Pure Niceness — Chillspot, NO mercy Riddim among others.
