The Pan African Parliament has called on African nations to avoid foreign influences in their internal affairs as part of efforts to stem conflicts threatening peace and security on the continent.
This is contained in a report of the PAP’s Committee on Co-operation, International Relations and Conflict Resolution.
“AU member states should avoid foreign interference in the management of internal affairs and fight against imperialism in order to eradicate conflicts in Africa,” reads part of the report.
The committee also called on member states to promote unity and fight poverty, youth unemployment and corruption.
