JCC clinched the Victory Group Harare Christian Soccer League title with a 3-1 win over DWoFMI in a match played at Italian Sports Club.
A second half Trinity Mutsika brace put JCC ahead before Allen Tumbare pulled one back for DWoFMI.
As DWoFMI searched for a second equaliser to level the game.
It was Brendon Dzimwasha’s strike that sealed JCC’s dominance and saw them lifting the title.
The win saw Mt Hope’s title hopes crumbling despite a narrow 1-0 win over AFMZ & SOD.
JCC lifted the title with a game to spare after amassing 49 points in 21 games.
Mt Hope are second on the log position with 45 points.
Out of the 21 games played, JCC managed to win 15 games, four draws and lost twice.
They managed to score a total of 63 goals and conceded 20.
ZAOGA anchored the bottom of the league with only 12 points.
Their recent 0-2 defeat to NLCC saw them losing a total of 15 games.
In the course they have conceded a total number of 56 goals and scoring just 22 goals. ZAOGA needs to work in their defending capabilities if they are to turn their fortunes for the better.
The Harare Christian League teams will be soon shifting their focus on the upcoming Pan Jap Cup tournament after match day 22.
