PAOZ JCC bounced back to winning ways, humbling St Andrews by 4-1 in the Victory Group Harare Christian Soccer League on Sunday.

JCC remained two points clear at the top of the standings despite suffering a 0-1 defeat to AFMZ & SOD last week.

The head coach of PAOZ JCC, Bishop Never Muparutsa, said he was excited with the result especially coming from a defeat

“The boys played very well according to our game plan, we made a few changes from our last game which we had not done so well. We were beaten 0-1 and we had to change a few things and maintain that momentum.

“We are sure that we are going to do our best to maintain our pole position. We have a squad that is capable of adding more points ahead of the rest of the pack. We have a strong squad that is capable of collecting maximum points.

“All our players were outstanding and vying to give it all. Prosper grabbed a brace and it was a major uplift for our tempo of the game. Brandon also played well as our main striker.”

“The boys did well and I would like to say to them well done, let’s keep going and keep the good spirit. Our next opponent should be careful as we are in good spirits and we are coming out to collect maximum points.”

PAOZ JCC are the log leaders with 31 points. NLCC CK also won 1-0 against InterD to keep their hopes for the championship with two points behind JCC.
