Parental support plays a crucial role in shaping a child’s dreams and aspirations.
The level of support and encouragement provided by parents significantly influences a child’s self-confidence, motivation, and belief in their abilities.
This support can have a profound impact on the child’s overall development, educational achievements, and future career choices.
To comprehend this message, nine-year-old Zimbabwean model Tamar Muchineuta seems to be getting the necessary support she needs from her mother, Shalom Ramunyenyiwa, who has been helping her to pursue her dreams.
The radio personality was recently in Kenya where she was invited to be a guest speaker at a children’s function.
Tamar was speaking before over 250 children at the function which was courtesy of Glowing Gifts, an organisation that nurtures children’s talents. Speaking in Nairobi, she urged parents to support their children’s dreams.
“It is my wish that all our parents support their children’s dreams. There is a need for support in helping kids achieve what they are passionate about.
“And to my fellow children, let us remember the less privileged in our countries as every child deserves an education, shelter, and good health”, she said.
“I was the guest and they also wanted to know more about my profile, what difference can we make in Africa, and what inspired me to be a philanthropist and model.”
“I want to maintain my modelling path while I also want to pursue my profession. I want to thank the Traverze Agency owned by Zodwa Mkandla for making this journey possible,” she said.
She also featured on the Kenyan television station, EBN, along with Precious Wangari on a programme called Little Pageants.
Precious is Little Miss Africa, 2019, and Miss Gorgeous Nairobi among other pageants.
“The interview was a familiarisation of what I am dreaming of as a model.
“We were sharing ideas on how to improve the welfare of young children.
“It was a discussion on how we can support the vulnerable children in our communities.
“The role of modelling in empowering those vulnerable. I want to impact the societies in Africa. I want to thank the support my mother always gives me. She is committed to supporting my talent and it becomes easier for me to pursue. So I keep urging parents to support their children in whatever they want to do in their lives,.
Her mother and manager Shalom said her daughter is a dreamer who always yearns for support.
“Tamar is a big dreamer and she was invited to be a guest at this event which over 250 kids attended.
“She also gave some advice to us as Africans to be united and work together. She also gave a speech for parents to support their children’s dreams.
“She urged them to believe and have confidence in their children and not let anyone tell them they can’t as long as you believe in yourself you can be or do anything,” she said.
“The first time I spoke in public boosted my confidence. I want every child to get their rights, for example, the right to education, shelter, food, and health.
“My mother always tells me to go back to the less privileged.”
Above all, Tamar was part of the Little Mr and Miss Africa pageant which was held in Johannesburg in April where she was crowned Rising Star Queen.
She attended the event with Saminah Muzondo (12) who was crowned Personality Queen.
