Park & Chill event invades eKasi. . . as Garden of House readies to host first event of the year

April promises to be an exciting month packed with a variety of events to suit everyone’s tastes, ensuring entertainment for all throughout the holidays.

On Sunday, people will head to the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair’s main arena for an extensive dose of house music therapy at the Garden of House event starting at midday. The event will welcome individuals aged 21 and above from midday till late, featuring an impressive line-up of music maestros to enthrall the audience. These include Toxic Chemical, Murphy Cubic, Fraize, Sfiso, Ash T, among others.

Arnold Ndlovu, one of the organisers of Garden of House shared his insights.

“The Garden of House is meticulously crafted to cater to the refined tastes of house music aficionados, set in an upscale outdoor setting. It serves as a platform to spotlight local talent and empower emerging artistes. Additionally, attendees can indulge in a culinary experience that transcends expectations,” he remarked.

Highlighting the event’s mission, Ndlovu emphasised its dedication to crafting unforgettable moments and lasting memories for all guests.

“Revellers must anticipate an electrifying showcase featuring even more talented local artistes, complemented by stringent security measures to ensure everyone’s safety. We’re eagerly looking forward to welcoming everyone,” he concluded.

On Sunday, several roads will lead to Chigumira shopping centre in Old Luveve, Bulawayo for a unique kasi experience at the Park and Chill event, running from midday till late. The Chigumira event is designed to cater to families, offering activities suitable for all age groups. Children will have their own special entertainment, including quad bikes and jumping castles, among other attractions. Meanwhile, a lineup of DJs will take turns on the decks, providing soulful music for enthusiasts. Notable personalities such as Mzoe 7, DJ Wellyonz, Rhaftoe, Mlungu Omnyama, among others, will grace the event.

Mduduzi Mdlongwa, one of the organisers, shared his excitement about the show, stating: “This is the inaugural edition of Park and Chill to be held ekasi, and we aim to host more editions and enhance as we progress. This idea stemmed from some individuals affiliated with 3D events, with the goal of fostering unity and infusing the township with vibrant entertainment.

“It’s strictly about entertainment; people gather in a different township setting where entertainment is thriving. Moreover, Chigumira holds historical significance for many of us in the entertainment industry; it’s the heart of the kasi vibe, hence why we chose to host the event there.”
