“The following candidates were selected for interviews, Mrs Angeline Chikomba, Mrs Petunia Chiriseri, Mr Blessing Ndirani, Mr Sharon Hofisi, Ms Jasmine Howera, Mrs Thokozile Katsidzire, Mr Basil Masara, Mr Canaan Mpala, Mr Clement Mukwasi, Mr Nkululeko Ndlovu and Ms Chipo Suka.

“The CSRO would like to thank all those who positively responded to the call to nominate candidates and the nominated candidates who gave their consent to offer themselves to serve on this Commission.

As has become the norm with these processes, and due to Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, the Committee would like to cordially extend an open invitation to all members of the public and interested stakeholders to follow and witness the interviews on television through Facebook live on Parliament of Zimbabwe or on our twitter page.”

From the candidates, two will be selected to join the commission.

The two vacancies in the ZHRC, arose due to the expiry of the terms of office of two members of the commission on 21 September.
