CIMAS Health Group chief executive officer Mr Vuli Ndlovu has said strategic partnerships are key in driving sustainable and inclusive healthcare delivery.

This follows the successful completion of a two-week free dental outreach in Matabeleland North and South.

Speaking at the conclusion of the outreach programme at Matopo Mission Clinic in Matobo, Mr Ndlovu said collaboration between local and international players was critical in addressing healthcare gaps, particularly in underserved communities.

“Strategic partnerships with both local, the Government and international healthcare providers remain central to our purpose to inspire healthier communities as they enable sustainable healthcare solutions,” he said.

The outreach, conducted by Cimas Health Group in partnership with UK-based charity SmileStar provided free oral healthcare services including extractions, restorative procedures and oral health education.

Mr Ndlovu said the initiative highlighted the role of collaboration in strengthening healthcare systems.

“Sustainable healthcare cannot be achieved in isolation, but through strong, purpose-driven partnerships like the one we have with SmileStar that combine expertise, resources and a shared commitment to inspire healthier communities,” he said.

The programme, which began on March 9, 2026, in Victoria Falls, was expanded to Matabeleland South for the first time this year, building on last year’s outreach, which benefited over 1 100 patients.

According to Cimas Health Group, hundreds of patients were attended to across outreach sites including Mkhosana Clinic in Victoria Falls, Dete in Hwange and Ethandweni Children’s Home in Matobo.

Mr Ndlovu said the outreach also focused on long-term health outcomes through preventative care.

“At Cimas Health Group, we believe that healthcare must be accessible, inclusive and sustainable,” he said.

“Through this outreach, we are not only providing immediate dental care, but also raising awareness about oral hygiene and preventative health, which contribute to long-term health outcomes and reduce the burden on the healthcare system.”

He urged members of the public to prioritise early dental check-ups, noting that preventive care reduces complications and costs.

Mr Ndlovu said the organisation would continue complementing Government efforts by expanding access to quality healthcare services through outreach programmes.

“Quality healthcare should reach everyone. As Cimas Health Group, we remain committed to complementing Government efforts in providing accessible healthcare services, improving health outcomes and expanding access to quality healthcare services across Zimbabwe,” he said.

Mr Ndlovu said the group would continue investing in mobile outreach initiatives to bring healthcare services closer to communities in need.
