Prophet Passion Java and his now ex-wife, Prophetess Lilly Java, have officially confirmed the dissolution of their marriage, bringing to an end a union that had long been in the public eye.
In a statement released on Tuesday morning released on their social media pages, Passion Java said the decision to part ways was reached “with maturity, understanding, and peace.”
“This moment serves to inform our partners, spiritual children, and all well-meaning Christians around the world that Lily and I have officially dissolved our marriage,” he said.
The outspoken preacher said although their marriage had come to an end, they would remain friends and committed partners in raising their three children.
“Divorce does not change my responsibility or dedication as a father. Our children will continue to receive the presence, support, and guidance they deserve from both parents,” he said.
Passion Java added that both he and Lilly remain committed to their respective callings.
“This new season allows us to walk in those callings with clarity and purpose, while maintaining peace and mutual respect. I ask for your understanding and prayers as we move forward in grace, faith, and friendship,” he said.
Shortly after his statement, Prophetess Lilly Java also issued an official communication confirming that the marriage had been legally dissolved “for some time.”
“After prayer, counsel, and much reflection, I want to formally acknowledge that my marriage has been legally dissolved for some time,” she said.
While echoing sentiments on co-parenting, Prophetess Lilly made it clear that their ministries and visions would now move forward independently.
“While our covenant as husband and wife has ended, our shared responsibility as parents remains. Our three sons continue to be our highest priority, and we are committed to raising them with stability, love, and intentional care,” she said.
She further emphasised that they were no longer connected “in marriage, leadership, or vision.”
“Each of us is pursuing the individual path and assignment God has entrusted to us. This decision was not made casually. It was made with sobriety, clarity, and conviction. Choosing peace does not mean endorsing the past; it means choosing wisdom for the future,” she said.
Prophetess Lilly appealed for understanding and discretion from their followers and the public at large.
“We also kindly ask that our names, callings, and journeys be respected as distinct and separate. My focus remains forward – on healing, growth, our children, and fulfilling God’s purpose individually,” she said.
The couple, who have built a significant following both locally and internationally, indicated that despite the end of their marriage, they remain united in prioritising the welfare of their children while pursuing separate ministerial paths.
