the devices for business.
Mrs Bekker, who is based in South Africa, was addressing Zimbabwean managers and executives on how to improve their business at a seminar held recently.
Some of the modules that she said come with Pastel products and were handy include Bank Manager, Project Tracker, Business Intelligence Centre (BIC) and Multicurrency. The Bank Manager module makes it possible for users to download an entire bank statement, while Project Tracker is useful for isolating a particular project in order to report on it separately if required.
Project Tracker makes it possible to allocate a particular project code for each project so that it is possible to pull out things like income statements for that particular project. Multicurrency gives one the ability to work in different currencies.
Mrs Bekker said the new world of accounting was coming up with add-on modules to automate processes in business, with particular emphasis on business growth, company structures and cost cutting.
