Pastor assaults son’s pregnant lover

A Hatcliff-based Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe pastor allegedly teamed up with his wife to assault their son’s pregnant girlfriend for eloping to their house.

Fanuel (60), Martha (57) and Milton Murambiwa (33) were charged with physical abuse when they appeared before Harare magistrate Mrs Nomsa Sabarauta.

Allegations are that on May 11 this year Samatha Muronzi (21) eloped to the trio’s house while in the company of her aunt Stella Kaseke and her cousin Brenda Dube.

The court heard that Muronzi was then left in the care of the Murambiwas by Kaseke and Dube.

It is alleged that at around 8.30pm Fanuel chased Muronzi out of the house saying she had come to bewitch them.

It is the State’s case that Fanuel grabbed Muronzi and pushed her outside the house while Milton and Martha took her bags out to the verandah where she spent the night.

The matter was reported to police leading to the trio’s arrest.
