A PASTOR has been fined US$30 for insulting a woman in a conflict over a piece of land.
Pastor Webster Salowa, of Church of Christ, is reported to have sold land to Sarah Wingwiri for US$20 000, and she paid US$10 000 upfront.
Pastor Salowa then started demanding the balance before the completion of paperwork.
He is reported to have gone to the plot on Sunday and ordered Wingwiri’s caretaker to leave the premises.
When Wingwiri arrived at the plot, to try and settle the dispute, she was confronted by Pastor Salowa and three other men.
An altercation then ensued.
One of the men accompanying the pastor, Trymore Chihwa, grabbed Wingwiri by the collar.
She made a report at Marondera Police Station under CRB/11/23.
Pastor Salowa and his three accomplices paid admission of guilt fines.
