Pastor Tinashe works on worship album

HOUSE of Power Apostolic Ministries Church Pastor Tinashe Murigo has finished working on an eight-track worship album that will be released during the Easter holidays. Murigo’s debut album, Zvinofadza sei, released last year, was a success with songs like Ari mandiri mukuru and Anorapa moyo receiving rave reviews across the nation.

In an interview, Murigo, who promises to release two projects this year, said the tracks on his forthcoming album titled On my knees, will contain only worship songs.

His previous album carries a fusion of traditional, afro Jazz and reggae beats.

Other songs to feature on the album are Ivai wekutanga, Mudziyo wakakodzera, Mwari vanonzwa, Mhuri yangu, Wandinyaradza, Ndoda kunamata and As a dove.

“We were in studio last week finishing up the new project. All went well and we are glad to announce to our fans that the album will be out by April 1. Songs on the album carry messages of hope. We always intend to uplift and heal the broken-hearted through our music. People should always lean on God in all circumstances. We are happy with overwhelming response we have been getting and would like to thank our supporters for supporting us,” he said.

Talent Ziyambi, Takudzwa, Benjamin, Sam, Noah, Moses and Themba constitute members of the group.

Pastor Murigo has been belting out some of his new tracks to be carried on the forthcoming album in church services and all-night prayer sessions.

He started composing and singing in church more than a decade ago.
