FOUR church elders, among them the wife of the late radio personality, Gift Mabhaudhi, have received residential stands from a local entrepreneur.

Liliosa Mabhaudhi, Overseer Evelyn Hwata, Reverend Gaga and Sherita Mangena received residential stands donated by Apostle Benjamin Murata.

Apostle Murata’s wife, Ottilia Murata, handed offer letters to the beneficiaries at a women’s prayer meeting held in Mbare.

Overseer Hwata could not hide her excitement. “I want to thank God for remembering my family after I thought my prayers were in vain for years,” said Overseer Hwata. “I was once mocked for remaining faithful and rooted in the word of God when I could not even own a house.

“Vanhu vaiti zvekunamata hazvibhadhare asi nhasi Mwari wandibhadhara.

“Glory be to the Almighty God for remembering those who live by faith and not by sight,” she said.

The beneficiaries are part of the Working with People’s Trust organisation chaired by Reverend Ellen Mwale.

More than 1 500 women, from 21 different denominations, gathered at the Anglican Church in Mbare, for prayers.
