Gundidza, who was the leading vocalist for Mafriq, went experimental with her art career after other members of the group started pursuing solo projects.
She said acting was an in-born thing to her as she started acting while still at school.
“I started acting back at Dominican Convent as I was part of the drama group and I really enjoyed that,” she said.
Gundidza said during that time she also discovered that she was a talented singer.
“I remember when I was eight years old leading a play and many people told me they were very impressed by my skills,” she said.
Gundidza said even though she was a talented actress she decided to pursue music as she was getting a lot of encouragement from her family members and friends.
Gundidza said soon after completing her Ordinary Level in 2003 she became a member of Mafriq.
“During my stint in the music industry I realised that I had limited myself to music only but at school I had learnt all types of art.
“When some of my colleagues decided to pursue solo projects I decided to venture into acting once more,” she said.
Gundidza said in 2009 she went for auditions for Manje So and was given a role. She said in Manje So she features as a pregnant woman married to a promiscuous husband. The husband is irresponsible as he does not take care of his wife and ill-treats her.
Gundidza said after Manje So she went on to feature on another film called Two Villages Apart.
“On this film I was featuring as Stella, a rural girl who was depicting a rural life to the urban society and the film was about the healing process in Zimbabwe,” she said.
After Two Villages Apart she went on to act on a film called Sinners, which is about three prostitutes who are later hired by a businessman to move around raping men.
“I hope to continue featuring on different movies as our industry is showing some signs of improvement,” she said.
However, she said she was not quitting music that gave her fame.
