PRINCE Edward School basketball team have left for Canada to take part in the Bodwell High Basketball Festival which is expected to start on Thursday in Vancouver.  Prince Edward’s first match is against Carver Christian High School. Coach Tapuwa Mungunyana feels his players will make good use of the tour.

“It’s one of the good learning curves in basketball,” said Mungunyama.
“The festival will be competitive but I feel it is good for us to be part of such events. It is not only satisfying to be winners but to gain experience and sharpen the skills.

“We are glad that we had no injuries during our camp and all the players are fit and raring to go.”
The festival will have more than 10 schools participating.

Prince Edward new captain, Larry Takura, said they were excited about their mission.
“We are going to play Carver Christian and we do not know how good they are but we will try and do our best.

“We are new at the tournament and I feel the competition will be high because there are many schools taking part.
“We very happy and we hope to make good use of this wonderful opportunity.

“Thanks to all our coaches, parents and our school for this life experience which we are about to pursue,” said Takura.
