Speaking at the presentation of the certificate on Monday, SAZ director-general Mrs Eve Gadzikwa said the company was efficient in its operations.
“SAZ recognises Peacock and Simpson mineral processing company’s desire to provide world-class mineral dressing test work and flow sheet development services to the mining industry,” she said.
Mrs Gadzikwa added that “ISO certification is undoubtedly a big achievement not only for Peacocke and Simpson and associates but for the whole of the Zimbabwean mining sector.”
She added that the certification will ensure that Peacocke and Simpson pays particular attention and detail to customer requirements since it deals with international partners.
Peacocke and Simpson director Mr Peter Simpson said that the certification will go a long way in instilling client confidence.
“As the company expands and deals more and more with major multinationals and listed entities that must conform to international mining regulations, the need has arisen to have internationally acceptable credentials,” he said.
“For the past few years Peacocke and Simpson has been undergoing the arduous task of obtaining this accreditation and we are pleased to be ISO9001:2008 and SANAS certified.”
Peacock and Simpson is one of two companies in the mining sector to be awarded such a certificate.
Founded in late 1985 by Kevin Peacocke and Peter Simpson, P&S provides mineral processing services to world-class and worldwide clients, for a wide range of minerals ranging from gold and platinum among others.
