One of Zimbabwe’s leading clothing lines Harare Originals have signed Afro-hip-hop rapper Pee-Kay as the face of their brands. The big endorsement is the first for the “Ma1” hitmaker who is currently on tour of the United States. The huge endorsement though the amount was not disclosed would see Pee-Kay being dressed by Harare Originals.

“I got endorsed by Harare Originals one of the top clothing brands that is taking the fashion scene by storm. I will be the face of their products and this is one of my first huge endorsements,” Pee-Kay whose real name is Patrick Kahlari said.

Harare Originals spokesperson confirmed the deal with Pee-Kay saying they were happy to be associated with the rapper.

It is believed that more Zimbabwean artistes will be signed by the clothing company that is synonymous with quality T-Shirts and caps.

Currently, Pee-Kay is touring the US promoting his new EP called “Ma1” that features the hits — “Ma1” featuring BaShupi and “Letting Go” featuring Bongo Maffin’s Speedy.

The two singles are hitting the airwaves on Star FM, Power FM and Zi-FM charts while the videos are being played on satellite music channels such as Channel O and Boss TV.

“Ma1”, which some fans like to call “Mamonya”, was brilliantly done in High Definition.

But the one thing you got to give to Pee-Kay is that he brought some of the A-listers in music in the region including the likes of Nigerian pop star D-Banj, Junior Brown, Pokello Nare, Suluman Chimbetu, BaShupi, Mic Inity, Smylie and a fitness trainer popularly known as Mugo.

The video is absolute magic and the choreography is on point. It’s the same quality on “Letting Go” where Pee-Kay and Speedy flaunt their bling.

Apparently, “Ma1” also written in Shona as “mahwani” in street lingo,. means going through a rough patch. The Harare rapper, whose real name is Patrick Kahlari, is eyeing a major comeback with the release of his EP.

“Ma1” and “Letting Go” were produced by Zimbabwean producer Simba Tagz at the Show Time Studios in South Africa. “Ma1” has a catchy chorus where BaShupi laces his signature traditional hooks just like he did on “Godo”.
