adminJustin Bieber is being sued by a photographer who claims the pop star’s bodyguard locked him in a restaurant and injured him. The alleged incident took place in the early hours of January 23, 2014 in Miami Beach, the night that Bieber was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
TMZ claims to have obtained the lawsuit filed by Manuel Munoz, who alleges the incident took place after he photographed Bieber leaving SET Nightclub, just before his arrest.
In the lawsuit, Munoz is alleging that Bieber’s bodyguard Dwayne Patterson locked him in a Subway restaurant and demanded he delete the images.
TMZ reports that Munoz is claiming Patterson kicked and punched him and forcibly removed the memory card, damaging his camera in the process.
The website also obtained a copy of the 911 call Munoz made while in the fast food restaurant.
Munoz is allegedly suing Bieber and Patterson for unspecified damages.
However TMZ claims that in the police report filed by Munoz, he does not say he was kicked or punched. Instead the website reports that Munoz stated he was tripped by Patterson, and was left with a “small scratch in his left knee” as a result.
Munoz also apparently claimed that he offered Patterson $10 000 for the photos of Bieber, but the bodyguard said he would not pay more than $5 000.
Bieber seems unfazed by the reported lawsuit and was in a good mood as he was spotted leaving a recording studio in Soho, New York on Thursday.
It comes following reports on TMZ that the 20-year-old called Melinda Giel-Murray a “b***h” for trying to take his picture at Circle K Stables in Burbanl.
This came just hours before the Baby singer allegedly removed a cell phone from the purse of a mother at the Sherman Oaks Castle Park in San Fernando Valley. – TMZ.
