Pinnacle Plate nominations released

IN today’s edition, focus is on the Pinnacle Plate Merit rated (80) race meeting pencilled in for this weekend at Borrowdale Racecourse for which fifteen nominees have been released.

This competition carries $10 000 as declared stake money for giving away to the winner as well as the next three runners-up.

Horses that will make it into the final list are going to battle over 1 800m to determine the fastest equine among the pack.

From the list submitted trainer Kirk Swanson put forward the highest number of nominees after seven from his stable were received.

Up next is the iron lady of horse racing Bridget Stidolph who threw into the ring five runners while Penny Fisher handed over names of three equines. According to the racing manager Betina Gurajena, all stables that submitted names to Mashonaland Turf Club will assemble at the venue tomorrow for the final acceptances. As soon as the final list is known stables will return back to the stables to see which one amongst their athletes can best represent them come race day.
