adminGERARD Pique has been spotted publicly with his new student girlfriend, leaving former partner Shakira “angry”.
The Barcelona star has been quick to move on from the long-term relationship he had with the pop star, getting into a new-found fling with Clara Chia Marti, who used to work for him.
Pique and Shakira announced they had decided to end their 11-year relationship in June. And the veteran defender has now apparently enraged his former girlfriend after being pictured kissing his new love interest at the Summerfest Cerdanya festival in Catalonia.
A report from outlet Socialite, who also took the photo, states that a source close to Shakira’s family claims the musician is ‘very angry at seeing the father of her children with his girlfriend in public’. This is because of a reported act between the two in which they had agreed they would not be seen in public with any potential new partner during the first year since the breakup.
But Pique has fallen foul of this by being seen at a live event with his arms around his new other-half.
Journalist Laura Roige of Socialite reported: “I am excited, it is evident that there is a relationship. I have seen a lot of love, it will hurt Shakira a lot, because this is a Gerard Pique that we have never seen. I have never seen him like this with the singer.”
Pique and Shakira first met when the player was on set for the video for Shakira’s official 2010 World Cup single ‘Waka Waka’. They forged a relationship later that year and now share two sons – Milan and Sasha.
The pair were considered one of the biggest couples in Spain but that all came crashing down when Sharika’s communication agency released a statement in June, which read: “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.” – Daily Star.
