THE ZIFA Northern Region Division Oe Soccer League match between Simba Bhora and Chegutu Pirates was postponed after the latter side had seven players who tested positive for Covid-19.
The game was to see former Chugutu Pirates coach, Arthur Tutani, making an emotional return to the club he left in a huff some three years ago.
Tutani said they really wanted the match to be played but because of the situation, they could not fulfil the fixture.
“We really wanted to play as having some game in hand is not good. The fixture was so important and we wanted to maintain our current form by winning it.
“It will be difficult to go for two weeks without playing as the players will relax. I hope we will be able to play our next fixture,” said Tutani.
The other matches saw Golden Eagles continuing with their fine run as they beat Black Mambas 2-1 at Morris Depot.
The visitors scored through Victor Nyabunze and Claude Mapoka while Mambas replied through Tafadzwa Chifamba.
