OLD Georgians and Pitbulls were the biggest winners in the first round of the 2021 Harare Rugby League Under-21 Championships, at Belgravia Sports Club, at the weekend.
The two sides won all their three matches.
Old Georgians beat FS Raiders 26-14, Northern Chiefs 19-5 and Police Defenders 42-7.
Pitbulls thrashed Mbare Select 34-0, Mabvuku 35-10 and XP Horns 45-0.
Pitbulls won the league, two years ago, before the sport was brought to a halt, because of Covid-19.
The Churchill High School-based side lived up to expectations as they seek to unleash other upcoming players, who can go on to make it onto the bigger stage, like they always do.
Harare Rugby League have four groups — A, B, C and D — where the teams will play in a round-robin format, in the group stages, which will culminate in the semi-finals and finals.
