Plane damaged in collision with bird

apparently stuck a large bird as it was descending into Denver. There were no injuries reported, according to ABC News.
Pictures from the airport showed a large hole in the nose of the Boeing 737.
Bird collisions with airplanes can be dangerous when they damage engines, the windshield and certain other parts of the plane, CBS Local Denver reports.
ABC News reports that bird collisions with airplanes cause US$600 million in damages to airlines each year.
The most notable plane crash involving birds was the 2009 water                         landing in the Hudson River by Captain Chelsey “Sully” Sullenberger, where all 158 passengers survived. — Yahoo news.
