Emerging hip-hop artist Ric Ko, hailing from Plumtree, is steadily carving his niche in the music industry, garnering attention with every stride he takes.

On Sunday evening, the young talent unveiled his inaugural music video for the single “Ngiyakukhumbula” directed by Afri Art. Featuring rapper Asaph and United States-based artiste Branden Cuz, the song delves into the struggles of financial hustling for a better life.

Expressing his determination to leave a mark, Ric Ko stated: “I’m committed to putting Plumtree on the map, and I know it requires relentless effort. Dropping my debut visual project is just one step towards achieving that goal. Our visuals were shot in Bulawayo and the USA, showcasing the global reach of our music.”

“Ngiyakukhumbula”, produced by Izanka Leli hit-maker DJ Ace Kater, resonates deeply with Ric Ko’s personal experiences, drawing inspiration from his father’s journey of striving for a better life for his family.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Certifyd Audios by Larynx, the song reflects Ric Ko’s aspirations and is proving to be a breakthrough in his burgeoning career. – @mthabisi_mthire
