PM Tsvangirai is embroiled in a bitter divorce with Locardia that resulted in him failing to wed his new love Elizabeth Macheka last week.
Magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi cancelled a marriage licence he had issued to the PM after Ms Karimatsenga successfully challenged the premier’s intended marriage to Ms Macheka under Chapter 5:11 of the Marriages Act.

Mr Mutevedzi was convinced that the premier was customarily married to Locardia after watching video footage showing the PM’s emissaries paying lobola in Christon Bank.

PM Tsvangirai has since appealed to the Supreme Court against the decision.
Ms Karimatsenga argued that she was the PM’s first wife after the premier paid lobola to her parents in Christon Bank in November last year.
The PM denied ever marrying Locardia, only to be proved wrong after the production of a video showing his emissaries paying lobola.
