NEW: Poet Choto to release new collection

Online Reporter

POET and novelist Fabian Choto will soon release a new anthology titled “Chibwe Chitedza Changu”.

The project will be made up of 25 Christian poems, of which 15 have already been completed.

According to Choto, the title of the anthology was inspired by Psalm 18 verse 2, which talks about God being the deliverer, rock and fortress.

A police officer by profession, Choto has been serving as chaplain at Rusape Central Police Station for the past 15 years.

“As a chaplain, I counsel, teach and advise people on all aspects of life,” he said.

“Those that are going to read the poems will surely benefit.”

Popularly known as “The People’s Poet”, some of Choto’s works were published in anthologies such as “Wajaira”, “Wisdom and Foolishness”, “Chingoma Chekwedu”, “Dzinobva Muropa” and “Essential Verses”.
