SCORES of fans turned up for the much hyped, evicted Big Brother Zimbabwe representative, Pokello Nare’s home-coming party held at Horizon on Saturday evening. The upmarket joint was packed way before 9pm with revellers, mainly the youths getting down as the disc jockeys did justice on the turntables.
Despite the system going off twice during the party, patrons were undeterred, with some heard shouting “Pokello Pokello”.
The “Queen of Swag” came into the house at 10:30pm heavily surrounded by body guards. Clad in a skimpy light brown outfit which left a little to the imagination, the Harare socialite was welcomed by wild screams from fans.
There was a lot of pushing and shoving in the VIP area as fans jostled to take photographs with Pokello. A few minutes later she was clutching the Ghanaian flag in support of her beau Elikem.
When given the mic to address fans, her speech was inaudible due to the poor sound system but at the end she shouted “Elikem Elikem”. In the midst of the confusion, she was whisked to the VIP Lounge to refresh.
Besides being cool and elegant, Pokello showed that she was short tempered as she shouted at hordes of people who were smuggled into the lounge as she was about to address the media. “Please keep quiet, I want to talk to the media, I can’t talk when there is so much noise,” she said to no avail.
“Are all these people media? If you are not from the media get out, okay there is no order here, please let me go, open the door.”
She later calmed down and addressed the media.
Pokello however, was dodgy, as she avoided answering personal questions, about her father.
