Police hunt man over stolen Nissan Sedan

POLICE in Bulawayo have launched a manhunt for a Harare man wanted in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle which was allegedly hired in the city before being sold in Harare.

The suspect, Brian Bhuru, of Budiririro, Harare, whose village of origin is Chinegoto Sai in Gokwe North, is wanted in connection with the theft of a silver Nissan Sedan.

Acting Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Thandekile Ndlovu yesterday appealed to members of the public with information that could assist in locating and arresting Bhuru to come forward.

“Police in Bulawayo are appealing for information that may assist in the location and arrest of a wanted person, Brian Bhuru of Budiririro, Harare, village of origin Chinegoto Sai, Gokwe North, in connection with a case of theft of a motor vehicle, a silver Nissan Sedan,” said.

Asst Insp Ndlovu said the vehicle was hired in Bulawayo on January 13 this year before it was allegedly sold in Harare.

The vehicle was later recovered in Harare, but Bhuru allegedly fled and his current residential address remains unknown.

Police said efforts to locate the suspect were continuing and urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to assist investigators.

“Anyone with information that may lead to the location of the wanted person is urged to contact ZRP Bulawayo Central on 0292-271515 or the investigating officer, Sergeant Mugova, on 012335280 or 0774777916,” said Asst Insp Ndlovu.
