Police detectives intercepted the Malawi registered bus and found 25 bags of dagga weighing 10kg each that were tied to the chassis of the bus.
The Premier Bus Company crew of Pynees Harem Magetsi (36), Ishmael Tomu Nyalapa (33) and Donnie Ntamdalika Ephraim Mansanampha (39) was subsequently arrested.
CID spokesperson Detective Inspector Sharon Musendo said the Premier Bus Company crew was assisting police with investigations.
“The bus was bound for Roadport in Harare and the crew would hand over the dagga to a man they only identified as Tuta,” she said.
Det Inspector Masendo said police were following leads that could result in Tuta’s arrest.
