Police launch manhunt for armed robbers in Harare Service Station heist

POLICE have launched a manhunt for nine armed robbers who raided a service station and stole US$2 210 along with 3 cellphones.

In a statement, police said the unidentified suspects attacked two security guards, and a fuel attendant, and also stole a CCTV server on 17 February 2024 at a service station at Corner Gleneagles and Green Trees Road, Harare.

Police appealed for information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.

“The ZRP is appealing for information that may assist in the investigation of a case of armed robbery that occurred on 17/02/2024 at a service station at corner Gleneagles and Green Trees Road, Harare. Nine unknown suspects armed with two pistols and three unidentified firearms attacked a fuel attendant and two security guards before stealing three cellphones, US$ 2 210.00 cash, and a CCTV server. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station,” reads the statement.
