Popcaan expected tomorrow

 

Andrae Sutherland, or simply Popcaan, will be visiting Zimbabwe for the first time courtesy of Zimbabwe’s leading entertainment powerhouse — C&A Entertainment — in partnership with Chipaz Promotions.

According to Templeman, who is C&A Entertainment’s spokesperson, Popcaan is expected in the country tomorrow accompanied by a five-member crew.
A welcome party would be held at Red Fox Hotel later in the night.

He is also expected to have an interview with the Star FM.
On Sunday Popcaan is scheduled to visit ghetto youths in Mbare, Chitungwiza, Highfield, Glen Norah before wrapping it up in Dzivaresekwa.

On the day of the show the “Coolie Gal” hitmaker will be supported by local dancehall artistes who include Winky D, Ricky Fire, Guspy Warrior, Dadza D and Mic Inity.

On the turntables will a host of DJs, namely Mighty Ducks, Garry B, Ash Styles, Barry B, Luwa Luwa, Smiley and Epherton B.

Templeman urged fans to the show to buy tickets in time to avoid last minute rush.
“We have sold more than 2 000 tickets so far and I just want to urge all Popcaan fans to buy their tickets in advance. Ordinary tickets are going for US$10 and VIP tickets are pegged at US$20.

Popcaan was born on July 15, 1988 and is originally from St Thomas, Jamaica.
He relocated to Portmore at the age of seven.

Some of his popular songs include “Fry Yiy”, “Badmind a Kill Dem”, “She A Gwaan Good”, “Coolie Gal”, “The System”, “Diss Mi Friend”, “Ravin” and “Party Shot” among others.
