Organisers of the Pumula Royal Arts and Community Awards (PRACAs), Home of Arts Entertainment, have partnered with Gobela Arts Development Agency to coordinate and facilitate the PRACAs Artist Summit, scheduled for December 18 as part of this year’s awards programme.

Founded by multi-award-winning Afro-Jazz musician Gog’Bekezela, Gobela Arts Development Agency will lead the summit, which aims to foster collaboration and promote the growth of the creative industry.
This year’s awards will run from December 17 to 19 in Pumula suburb, Bulawayo.
“We are delighted to welcome Gobela Arts Development Agency as our Summit Coordinator and Facilitating Partner, bringing together expertise, collaboration and a shared commitment to strengthening the creative industry.
“The summit will provide a platform for artistes and creative industry stakeholders to engage in meaningful panel discussions, workshops, networking and industry insights aimed at empowering artists, building sustainable creative enterprises and shaping the future of the arts.
“Together, we are creating spaces where creative voices are heard, opportunities are unlocked and artistic talent becomes a catalyst for social transformation and sustainable development,” the statement reads.
Meanwhile, PRACAs organisers have appealed to the business community and well-wishers to support the upcoming seventh edition of the awards as preparations gather momentum for the three-day event.
Running under the theme, “Creative Voices for Social Transformation and Sustainable Futures”, PRACAs 2026 seeks to celebrate excellence, empower communities and promote social responsibility while highlighting the transformative role of arts and culture in building sustainable futures.
Established in 2019, the awards have become a platform for recognising individuals, businesses and community initiatives whose talent, innovation and dedication contribute to societal development.
As the awards approach their seventh edition, organisers are calling on the community and corporate sector to support the initiative, celebrate local excellence and create opportunities for both emerging and established talent to flourish.
