ORGANISERS of the Pumula Royal Arts and Community Awards (PRACAs) are appealing to the business community and well-wishers to support the upcoming seventh edition of the awards, as preparations gather momentum for the three-day event.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for December 17 to 19 in Pumula suburb, Bulawayo, where outstanding individuals and organisations making a difference in the community and beyond will be honoured for their contributions to arts, entertainment, media, literature, entrepreneurship, sport and community development.

Running under the theme, “Creative Voices for Social Transformation and Sustainable Futures,” PRACAs 2026 seeks to celebrate excellence, empower communities and promote social responsibility, while highlighting the transformative power of arts and culture in building sustainable futures.

In a statement, the organisers called on individuals, companies and organisations to contribute towards making the event a success, noting that support could come in the form of cash donations, goods or services.

“You can sponsor an award at the seventh edition of the Pumula Royal Arts and Community Awards (PRACA 2026) with a minimum contribution of US$50 to US$100 and above.

“Your sponsorship doesn’t have to be financial only. You can support through recording deals and studio time, music video production, branding and promotional services, special offers and products, as well as in-kind contributions and other value-added services,” reads the statement.

The sponsorship drive offers local businesses and other stakeholders an opportunity to invest in grassroots talent, amplify creative voices and support community-driven initiatives that use arts and culture as tools for social transformation.

Meanwhile, nominations for the 2026 awards, which opened on September 15, are set to close on Thursday, October 22. Only works produced between July 31, 2025 and August 31, 2026 will be considered.

Established in 2019, the PRACAs have become a platform for recognising individuals, businesses and community initiatives whose talent, innovation and dedication contribute to the development of society.

As the awards approach their seventh edition, organisers are counting on the support of the community and the corporate sector to celebrate local excellence and create opportunities for emerging and established talent to shine.
