A WOMAN who arrived home unexpectedly from a church night prayer and found her husband with a mistress half-naked on their bed, punched and kicked her before fatally stabbing her with a knife.
According to a document from the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Stacy Mkandla appeared before a High Court Judge sitting in circuit in Gweru facing a murder charge and was convicted and sentenced to serve 10 years in jail.
Early this year Stacy Mkandla (27) left for a night prayer leaving her husband sleeping in their matrimonial bedroom. She had told him that she would return the following day in the morning.
However, Mkandla sprung a surprise and returned home on the same day at around 1130 PM and found her husband sleeping with her small house on their matrimonial bed. And the small house was half-naked.
Mkandla fumed upon catching the pair. She punched and kicked the small house. Seething with anger she ran berserk and reached for a knife and knifed the deceased on the head, once on the breast and the back.
The deceased ran away but fell to the ground near the roadside and died. The incident was reported to the police.
