Premier Business School, the leading providers of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) tuition in the country, have opened a branch in Bulawayo. In September last year, PBS became the only officially accredited provider of ACCA studies in Zimbabwe. Founding partner Ngoni Sanangura told Business Chronicle this week that the opening of a branch in Bulawayo was in response to the demand for their services.
“In the past we had students travelling to Harare for their examinations which was costly. Until recently we had satellite offices at Eveline High School,” said Sanangura.
“We see potential for growth in the city.”
As part of ensuring improved service provision, the college has introduced computer based examinations whose results come immediately after a student has taken them.
“There is no more need for students from this part of the country to travel to Harare. This will cut on unnecessary travel and accommodation costs they have been incurring,” Sanangura said.
PBS is now recognised among a poll of leading tuition providers who offer quality tuition and support ACCA students on behalf of ACCA-UK.
The affiliation allows Premier Business School to develop mutually beneficial relationships, increase global availability of effective and innovative course delivery and first-class student support.
Under this partnership, Premier Business School can now offer student tuition programmes that have a formal link and are recognised by ACCA–UK.
The school was founded by ACCA members with a view to offering quality tuition to students.
It also focuses on training various government departments on international accounting and auditing standards.
Premier Business School is also a partner to Kaplan (a platinum accredited ACCA tuition provider in the UK.) PBS is the sole distributor of Kaplan ACCA text books at competitive prices in Zimbabwe.
Sanangura said Premier Business School was an auxiliary function to Zimbabwean businesses as it exists to assist organisations to build on key accounting competences and capabilities for their finance departments.
